About Us

Founded in August 2005, the IIBA Waterloo-Wellington Chapter serves the Waterloo-Wellington region, in southwestern Ontario, Canada - the heartland of the technology, innovation, and insurance sectors in our province.  Our purpose is to promote the practice of business analysis, raise the profile of the business analyst role, and locally represent the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA)

To be the leading professional association for Business Analysts
in the southwestern Ontario region.

Mission Statement

To promote and demonstrate the value of the IIBA organization and the practise of BA to our Waterloo-Wellington Chapter constituents.

Strategic Goals

Our strategic goals are how we accomplish our mission:

  • Drive awareness of the value and contribution of the role of the business analysis professional.
  • Advance the practices of business analysis.
  • Publicly recognize and celebrate qualified practitioners through our chapter communications and forums.
  • Provide forums for knowledge sharing, education, and networking within the Southwestern Ontario Region.
  • Support the evolution of BABoK.
  • Enable sustainable growth of the chapter (to support the establishment of IIBA as the Business Analysis organization of choice in the region).
  • Ensure financial viability to support the implementation and sustainment of chapter strategic priorities.
  • Consistently examine and improve upon the chapter value proposition in alignment with members' expectations.

If you have any ideas for events, activities,
or other improvements to our chapter offerings,
or you think you could contribute some of your time
to make these things happen, we'd love to hear from YOU!
